Art Shops

River Pines Art & Frame

Shop carries framed works by Bob Timberlake, local historical sites, a variety of pre-made and matted frames, candles, notes, cards, mirrors, and prints of your favorite college. Custom framing is their speciality, even for historical documents.

1839 Antiques

Just inside the front door of the Emporium, find a shop filled with English & American antiques including Staffordshire, pottery, stained glass, silver, art, export china, jewelry, and floor coverings.

The Bob Timberlake Gallery

A small look at the quality furniture, accessories, and prints offered by famed North Carolina artist Bob Timberlake. Find brochures and directions to his beautiful gallery in nearby Lexington.

Betty Sedberry

Signed and numbered prints by pen and ink master artist Betty Sedberry can be found here. If you are looking for distinctive renditions of local landmarks, railroad stations, or trains; this is the place.

Mook's Place

Here is your chance to buy an original cartoon from the editorial pages of the Salisbury Post. You'll be thrilled with the beautiful watercolors of Rowan County scenery interpreted by Mark Brincefield's brush!

Southbound Images

Here is your chance to find distinctive, artistic work from a published photographer. Trains and engines, mostly Southern Railroad, are the speciality with some aircraft photographs mixed in for good measure. Quality images from a trained eye.

Carolina Woodspirits

Wooden characters, Santas, whimsical figures, and fruit faces presented by master carver "Doc" Bob Gordon. Add one or more of these to your decor as they will add life and character to the space.

Butterfly Works

Your eyes will be drawn to the art of distinctive stained glass butterflies, stars, and seasonal pieces to hang in your window or near a light. There are also collectibles for the home or for gift giving, as well as a mixture of antique smalls.

William K. Kepley

An art degree, 30 years experience, digital cameras, and great computer skills have created landscapes, intricate floral close-ups, nautical and lighthouse images for any decor. Of special interest are the photographs transformed into watercolor format.
